Weekend R.N. Option
Do you want to work weekends? Enjoy premium pay and certain benefits when you do.
If you enjoy working weekends, check out this unique opportunity. As long as you have one year of appropriate nursing experience in an acute-care facility during the past two years, you can take part in our weekend R.N. option. (Acute rehabilitation and/or long-term care experience is acceptable for our Transitional Skilled Unit (TSU).
You can choose from three options:
- 3 of 4 weekends per schedule (12-hour shifts)
- 48 weekends per year (12-hour shifts)
- Work 3 shifts per week (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), 3 of 4 weekends (12-hour shifts)
Day shift is 7 a.m.-7:30 p.m., with weekend shift including Saturday and Sunday.
Night shift is 7 p.m.-7:30 a.m., with weekend shift including Friday and Saturday.
There is no on-call or rotation required.
There are two established rates of pay:
Base rate is based on your experience and is paid for all orientation hours.
Weekend rate that is paid once orientation is complete is $37.00/hour for day shift and $40.00/hour for night shift.
You might also be eligible for benefits including health insurance, life insurance, pension and tuition reimbursement.
Orientation is designed to be flexible for the non-traditional scheduling programs. The didactic orientation will be approximately 4 days, with the clinical orientation individualized based on your experience.
Positions are available in medical/surgical units, emergency department, float pools, critical care units and OR.
